Trevor Grove

Trevor Grove has felt a deep connection to creativity since a very early age. Growing up in southern California, he and his brothers fell in love with artwork and how it was made. In particular, his appreciation for master illustrator Drew Struzan taught him to pay attention not only the methods by which an artist creates work, but also the spiritual core at the center of any good art. He credits his older brother Troy most for mentoring him in his earliest development as an artist.
Trevor wasn’t particularly fond of school, which isn’t unusual for creative people. He often avoided it to concentrate on bettering his drawing and painting skills. Jumping through hoops to keep up his grades afforded him leverage with convincing his parents to let him skip many days of school to draw. Their steadfast belief in his abilities, and their support, allowed Trevor the ideal environment to learn his craft.only the methods by which an artist creates work, but also the spiritual core at the center of any good art. He credits his older brother Troy most for mentoring him in his earliest development as an artist.
After High School, Grove found himself wanting to explore new avenues of creative expression. His childhood love for action figures sparked the idea of pursuing sculpture. Thanks to the internet, learning about this field and connecting with fellow artists was a click away, if one was ambitious enough. It was during this time that Trevor first connected with Ray Villafane and Andy Bergholtz, both of whom encouraged his pursuits in the field of sculpture, and generously lent him their knowledge.
Trevor has worked as a professional sculptor since 2006, and he currently works for Sideshow Collectibles. His speciality is portraiture and he has a reputation for likenesses. Grove’s long standing love of creativity continues to enlighten him to the value of patience, tenacity, and hard-work, and the many doors that can open when one pursues their life’s ambition with genuine heart as well as gratitude for those that support and help them along their way.
